UK updates Xinbi sanctions listing with dozens of crypto addresses
Britain has updated its sanctions listing for Xinbi Company Limited, adding dozens of Tron cryptocurrency addresses associated with the Southeast Asian platform, which remains subject to an asset freeze and director disqualification sanctions.
LONDON, September 9, 2026 — The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office varied the Global Human Rights sanctions listing for Xinbi Company Limited, adding a substantial number of Tron cryptocurrency addresses associated with the entity. The designation itself remains in force.
Xinbi, which is also linked to the name Xinbi Guarantee, remains subject to an asset freeze and director disqualification sanctions under the Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations 2020. It was originally designated by the UK on March 26, 2026.
The UK said Xinbi has enabled and profited from scam centres in Southeast Asia by providing financial services or other resources that contribute to serious human rights abuses. The government said treatment of people in those centres includes conduct amounting to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment, slavery, servitude and forced or compulsory labour.
The latest variation expands identifying information attached to the sanctions entry rather than imposing a new designation. UK persons must continue to freeze Xinbi's funds and economic resources and are generally prohibited from dealing with them or making funds or economic resources available to the entity without an applicable exception or Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation licence.
The update coincides with US action against Xinbi Guarantee on Wednesday. The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control added Xinbi Guarantee to its Specially Designated Nationals List under its transnational criminal organizations sanctions program and identified numerous Tron addresses connected to the platform.
Britain was the first country to sanction Xinbi in March, describing it as a major illicit marketplace providing cryptocurrency-based services to Southeast Asian scam centres.
